WHAT SHOULD BE MUSLIM RESPONSE TO BURN A QURAN DAY!
Assalamualaikum dan salam Ramadhan,
Seperti yang diketahui ramai, pada 11 September iaitu selepas beberapa hari kita menyambut hari raya, akan berlakunya satu upacara terkutuk "International Burn a Quran Day" yang dikendalikan oleh sebuah gereja di Ganiesville Florida. Peristiwa yang pasti akan menghiris perasaan umat Islam sedunia yang tidak pernah mengganggu gugat agama-agama lain mahupun membakar kitab suci mereka (perkataan terrorist itu dicipta oleh mereka untuk menjatuhkan agama Islam yang terbukti benar).
Pada hari ini saya kongsikan dengan anda, sebuah artikel yang ditulis oleh sahabat saya di Karachi, Pakistan iaitu bagaimana kita saudara semuslim untuk memberikan reaksi terhadap peristiwa ini.

WHAT SHOULD BE MUSLIMS’S RESPONSE?
WELL, OBVIOUSLY ALL MUSLIMS HAVING LOVE FOR QURAN ARE DEEPLY HURT BY THIS EVENT CAUSED BY A CHURCH. BUT, OUR RESPONSE IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE IN THIS SITUATION. I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION SOME POINTS IN THIS REGARD FOR MUSLIMS:
POINT # 1
The Church completely fails to realize that 100% of the Muslims dearly love and believe in Jesus Christ. Islam is the only non-Christian faith which believes that
¨ Jesus was born miraculously of a virgin Mary;
¨ Jesus is called Ruh-ALLAH and word of ALLAH in Quran;
THE CHURCH FAILS TO REALIZE THAT BY BURNING THE QURAN, THEY WILL ALSO BE BURNING THE HOLY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST WHOM THEY DEARLY LOVE!
They don’t know that Quran says that “KILLING OF AN INNCONCET HUMAN BEING IS LIKE KILLING OF WHOLE MANKIND, and SAVING OF ONE LIFE IS LIKE SAVING WHOLE HUMANKIND.
It shows that don’t even know, what does Quran teaches! Moreover, they are going against the constitution of America themselves and the freedom of religion. THEY THEMSELVES AGREE THAT IT IS A VIOLENT WAY OF PROVING ISLAM WRONG, BUT THEY THINK THAT THIS IS THE WAY TO DO IT, SO WE COULD SIMPLY SEE THAT THEY HAVE NOTHING BUT A PARTICULAR HIDDEN AGENDA AGAINST ISLAM AND MUSLIMS!
POINT # 2
We Muslims CAN’T and SHOULD NOT accuse whole Christian community for the act of this church. We know that a whole community can’t be blamed for the acts of few individuals. We know that there are BLACK SHEEPS in EVERY COMMUNITY, so we should not judge Christians just based on this particular Church.
We know that Christians as a whole are peace loving community and Muslims and Christians have been living peacefully since ages. Moreover, how can we blame whole Christians, when the Christian community as a whole is against this event! Further, there are various Churches and Christians who have stood against this event by condemning it and has said without a shadow of a doubt that CHRISTIANITY OPPOSES THIS EVENT, so we should be listening to these Christian scholars and Holy Bible, rather than particular individual Church, which may or may not follow the teachings of Holy Bible and Jesus Christ!
AS MUSLIMS WE FEEL OPPRESSED, WHEN PEOPLE LINK ISLAM WITH 9/11 (THOUGH STILL THERE IS NO CONVINCING PROOF OF WHO DID THIS ACT), SO WE ALSO SHOULD NOT LINK CHRISTIANITY WITH THIS PARTICULAR ACT BECAUSE IF WE START DOING THE SAME, THERE WILL BE NO DIFFERENCE IN MUSLIMS AND OTHERS!
POINT # 3
ALLAH commands us in Quran
(Quran 60:8) ALLAH FORBIDS YOU NOT, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) faith nor drive you out of your homes, from DEALING KINDLY AND JUSTLY WITH THEM: FOR ALLAH LOVETH THOSE WHO ARE JUST.
So, we can’t do the same as the Church is doing and blame whole Christian community, as they themselves are supporting Quran in this event along with the Muslims. ALLAH describes them (truthful Christians) very beautifully in the Quran in following words:
(Quran 5:82) Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; AND NEAREST AMONG THEM IN LOVE TO THE BELIEVERS WILT THOU FIND THOSE WHO SAY, "WE ARE CHRISTIANS": BECAUSE AMONGST THESE ARE MEN DEVOTED TO LEARNING AND MEN WHO HAVE RENOUNCED THE WORLD, AND THEY ARE NOT ARROGANT.
So, ALLAH also says that Christians are closer to us than other people, as we can also see that Christians are standing along with Muslims in this issue. So, we should respect Christian community as a whole rather than making them responsible for this event.
POINT # 4
WHAT SHOULD MUSLIMS DO TO COUNTER THIS EVENT! AS PER ME, WE CAN DO FOLLOWING:
¨ Please avoid being emotional and having temporal outburst and don’t be provoked, because certain people want to prove Muslims as terrorists and are waiting in their hidden caves to attack Islam and Muslims on their response;
¨ Protest against the event in a peaceful manner in front of all offices and in public places;
¨ Distribute, share and propagate the Quran with all;
¨ This is the month of Ramadhan, so please pray for these people and invite non-muslims to IFTAAR and share Quran and its teaching with them;
¨ Wear t-shirts and use things which says “ISLAM IS THE RELIGION OF PEACE, ISLAM IS TRUTH and WE MUSLIMS ARE NOT TERRORISTS, ISLAM DENOUNES TERRORISM, I AM PROUD TO BE A MUSLIM etc”;
¨ Have a dialogue with non-muslims on the actual teachings of Islam and Quran; or celebrate a “MUTUAL LOVE AND RESPECT DAY”
¨ CELEBRATE AN “INTERNATIONAL LOVE FOR QURAN DAY” on every 11 September,
¨ Others which you think are according to the teachings of Islam.
POINT # 5
THE TRUTH IS ALWAYS OPPOSED
We know from the history as well as Quran that Truth is always opposed and suppressed, but it is the quality of the true faith that it will come victorious in the end. ALLAH also confirms us in Quran:
(Quran 58:21) Allah has decreed: "IT IS I AND MY APOSTLES WHO WILL BE VICTORIOUS": For Allah is One full of strength, able to enforce His Will.
(Quran 48:28) It is He Who has sent His Messenger with Guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion: AND ENOUGH IS ALLAH FOR A WITNESS.
SO, WE MUSLIMS SHOULD CONDEMN THIS EVENT IN A PEACEFUL MANNER AND DO WHAT ALLAH HAS COMMANDED US IN QURAN AND LEAVE THE REST ON ALLAH, BECAUSE HE HAS PROMISED TO MAKE HIS RELIGION TRIUMPH. FURTHERMORE, WHENEVER ISLAM IS ATTACKED, IT HAS PRODUCED COUTER EFFECTIVE RESULTS FOR THE ATTACKERS AND HAS ALWAYS MADE MUSLIMS AND NON-MUSLIMS TO GROW IN ISLAM.
